As fans were leaving Beyoncé’s final concert in Atlanta just after midnight Tuesday, several were injured after a stampede at a MARTA station.
Reports indicate there was a stampede on the escalator at the Vine City station after someone began screaming and running. The commotion caused the escalator to speed up and suddenly stop.
According to a statement from MARTA, of the eight people injured, seven went to the hospital for treatment.

And while much of the singer’s Atlanta appearance was well received by fans who remixed patriotic symbols for the show, this wasn’t the only low note for the Grammy winner’s run in the city.
According to reports, a 911 call was placed last week after the rental car of one of the star’s employees was broken into on Krog Street. The items taken included laptops and hard drives with unreleased music, tour show plans, and set lists for current and future appearances.
The man’s voice on the tape can be heard explaining that the laptop and drives for a person of “high status” were stolen.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that on July 8, when Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and one of her dancers, Diandre Blue, returned to their rented SUV in a parking deck, the trunk was open. Two suitcases had been removed.
Atlanta police continue to investigate.
Monday night’s show ended Beyoncé’s Atlanta concert series that featured appearances by her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi and three tracks performed by her husband, Jay-Z.
