Join us at The Ke’nekt Cooperative on May 16 for a free community event focused on helping Atlanta’s Black communities navigate local, county, and state elections that often fly under the radar.
“Connect With Your Candidates” aims to foster a constructive dialogue among community members about the significance of their votes, the impact of down-ballot issues, and the power of informed decision-making at the polls beyond the presidential race and Congress.
We’re partnering with The Ke’Nekt Cooperative and the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity for the event, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. at 1492 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd.
Attendees will hear from an array of Fulton County and statewide candidates during a live panel moderated by Atlanta-based journalist King Williams. (See a list of confirmed candidates as of April 29 further down).
We will share fact sheets and other voter education resources at the event and gather attendees’ questions about local elections and candidates as part of our new “Ask Capital B” community help desk initiative. There will also be free food and beverages.
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and connect with fellow community members and candidates.
See you there!
