Top of the morning!

Here is Your AM Rundown, with news updates in 400 words or less. Get caught up on headlines and other developments you might’ve missed. Here’s what to know for today:

  • As fuel prices skyrocket across the country due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Georgia Senate unanimously passed a bill that would suspend the current gas tax and give drivers relief. Gov. Brian Kemp is expected to sign the legislation.
  • MARTA wants to celebrate their new on-demand service. In honor of MARTA Reach, a pilot program in partnership with Georgia Tech, the transit authority will host pop-ups next week at  H.E. Holmes, East Lake, and Avondale stations.  For schedule and info click here

ICYMI: Beam me up, Stacey! Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a longtime STar Trek fan, made a cameo as the United Earth president in “Star Trek: Discovery.” Speaking of Abrams, she’ll be in Atlanta this weekend for “Social Action Sunday” at Big Bethel AME Church.
