Early voting in the 2023 Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education election is underway, with 10 candidates vying for five open seats on the board that governs more than 80 learning sites across the district.
In an effort to keep our readers informed, Capital B Atlanta has joined forces with our partner, Atlanta Civic Circle, for #APSVotes to deliver original reporting that sheds light on the pivotal elections for the governing board.
On Thursday, we are hosting a joint event where you can talk to eight of the BOE candidates 1-on-1 in 2½-minute intervals to see how well the candidates’ stances on school district issues match with your perspectives.
If you have any questions on the event, please reach out to Sydney Sims, Capital B Atlanta’s community engagement reporter, at sydney.sims@capitalbatl.org.
